Motoring Upgrades with the Jeep Grand Cherokee

It may not look like you’re the typical race car, but the Jeep Grand Cherokee can launch from 0 to 65 MPH in just 3.5 seconds, assuming you go for the available Supercharged 6.2L V8. That translates to a quarter mile in just 11.6 seconds, assuming you engage launch control and the torque reserve system. The available Bilstein® Adaptive Suspension System adjusts its dampers for either track or sport performance, depending on what you want.

Other engine selections that you can choose include a 6.4-liter V8 that features sodium-cooled exhaust valves and powder-forged connecting rods. All this adds up to 7,200 lbs. of towing, 707 horsepower, and 645 lb.-ft. of torque.

When you want to save on gas, opt for the 5.7-liter V8. Its Fuel Saver Technology shuts off half of the eight cylinders when all eight are not needed. This powerplant also pushes out 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque and pulls nearly 7,200 lbs. of your favorite toys.
